Dr. Avinash Chaitanya

Dr. Avinash Chaitanya treated me for the tumor in parotid gland which looks like a swelling below the ear and behind cheek. I was afraid about the surgery because the facial nerve runs through the gland and we really need skilled surgeon who can identify and spare your facial nerve. I wrote my story how I reached and why chose him below. I am sincerely thankful for Avinash sir and his team for this surgery which they took two hours and removed it slowly with utmost care without touching facial nerve. I saw many reviews of other surgoens where the facial nerve damaged and took much time to recover and I was afraid a lot about consequences. I was normal within 10 days and within 20 days I am able to do part of household works. Even post surgery he responded well for all the queries with patience some of which are not even related to the surgery. Once again Thank you Avinash sir for making this surgery easy on me and appreciate your patience and courtesy towards patients 🙏🙏 Also Thank you so much Madhu garu(Avinash sir's assistant) for helping me with all the details and guiding me well before and after surgery🙂🙂 I should also mention this, during my c- section I requested doctor at rainbow hospital to remove wart present on my stomach which she refused to remove. I actually tried using some creams to remove it which are painful and I stopped using them after a while and I am afraid of pain to get it removed normally without anesthesia. This time doubtfully I asked Madhu ( Avinash sir's assistant) and he checked with one of the doctors who is part of surgery and he said ok to remove the wart. I was surprised and shocked as I was expecting a NO (Normally they won't perform any additional treatment as it would be loss of business to hospital and they expect us to take a new out patient appointments for any additional treatment) and was super happy and shared with my family immediately. On the day of surgery Avinash sir asked about wart and I said that I want it to be removed. He also said ok and removed it during the surgery. I was amazed with the courtesy they show on patients and how easy they go on with small things like this. I loved this gesture !!!! I request you all to provide reviews for any of the doctors if you get the better treatment. So that it would be useful for others. These days its hard find good treatment even if we spend money. ============================ Below is the story how I reached him and why we should not always go by reviews: I have some past bitter experiences with other doctors during my pregnancy and other helath issues. So I was a bit careful this time. I started search with who is the right person to treat this kind of disease and then I followed ratings and do know about the forced or fake reviews. I decided to reach couple of doctors, on of them is Dr. kareemullah khan(I reached him by seeing his reviews and they looked genuine to me), he then referred me to Avinash Chaitanya sir, as he is onco surgeon. Then I saw his reviews, its very less and then I have an option with another doctor with great reviews. Still I decided to meet him once where I asked a doubt about some lymph nodes that appears back of ear(I have them and have doubt if they are related to parotid swelling). He clarified that those are due to dandruff or some other skin related issue, however they related to head , nothing to do with parotid gland. I asked the same question to the other doctor with good reviews and the answer is yes, it is one of the side effects caused by parotid gland swelling (which actually is not at all related to parotid swelling) Here started the confusion, who are correct. I did a research again about the nodes and came to know that they are because of skin related issues. Then I decided to choose him. Sometimes small things makes the decision clear. After all its our body, we should do our research and homework before going to these kind of surgeries. We should see the reviews, but not "only reviews". However I did right thing by choosing Avinash sir and I am safe and healthy now.

Dr Avinash is a very professional, kind and soft spoken person, he performed (total thyroidectomy)neck surgery of my mother .it was an 4 hours surgery and everything went according to the plan as doctor explained to us post operation .I would highly recommend all to benefit from the doctor ,his experience and his team.excellent head and neck surgeon.
